Dead Miles
Track miles between trips so profit-per-mile stays honest.

Dead miles are the miles you drive without being paid for them: driving to a pickup, repositioning between offers, and driving home at the end of the shift.
They burn the same fuel and wear as paid miles, so leaving them out makes your profit look better than it is.
How TRUE Driver Profit handles them
- When you track an order with GPS, the miles you drive to the pickup while the order is active are already counted.
- On the Home calculator you can include miles to pickup and miles after drop-off so an offer is judged on total miles, not just the delivery leg.
- Reports flags unpaid mileage in your Profit Insights so you can see how much of your driving is unpaid.
How to reduce them
- Note which store or zone leaves you farthest from your next offer.
- Compare offers using total miles, not the platform's advertised miles.
- Stage between runs where offers actually come in, instead of driving back and forth.
A $12 offer for 6 paid miles is a different job when it takes 5 unpaid miles to reach the pickup. Include those miles before you decide.
