How to Review Your Reports & Tax Records

This short video walks through where your profit, mileage, vehicle costs, and tax records live in TRUE Driver Profit, so you can check them before tax time.

How to Review Your Reports & Tax Records

Step by step

  1. 1. Review Profit Analysis

Open Reports to see business miles, earnings, costs, and TRUE Profit in one place.

  2. 2. Open Vehicle Records

Review maintenance, fuel, repairs, and other vehicle costs, along with your total vehicle cost and miles driven.

  3. 3. Review your mileage summary

In the Annual Vehicle & Mileage Tax Summary, check your confirmed business miles and the estimated standard mileage deduction. The Vehicle Tax Method Comparison shows two separate estimates side by side.

  4. 4. Preview your Tax Packet

Review the period, income, mileage, and expense totals before downloading.

  5. 5. Reconcile platform income

In Platform Income Reconciliation, compare recorded income by platform and expand the supporting details.

Good to know

  • Pro members can also download a recordkeeping export of their recorded income, mileage, and expenses for a tax year or custom date range.
  • Tax Export is a recordkeeping convenience only. Suggested tax categories in the export are educational, are not tax advice, and do not change how anything is stored — confirm every category with a qualified tax professional.
