Fuel Expenses

Log every fill-up so profit stays accurate.

Fuel is usually the largest ongoing cost of driving, and it is the one that changes most from week to week. Logging every fill-up keeps your real cost per mile accurate.

How to log a fill-up

  1. Open the Expenses tab.
  2. Tap the gas category.
  3. Enter Gallons from the pump.
  4. Enter $ / gallon.
  5. The total calculates automatically — you can type over it if you paid a different amount.
  6. Save the expense.

Why gallons and price matter

Entering gallons and price per gallon lets you see what you are actually paying to drive, not just a dollar figure. Over time it also shows whether the gas price in your Profile is still realistic.

How fuel counts in TRUE Profit

TRUE Driver Profit already estimates your fuel cost from your miles, MPG and gas price, so fuel counts once. A fill-up you record is kept as your own purchase record and is not deducted a second time from TRUE Profit.

If pump prices have moved, update Gas price in Profile. That value feeds the fuel portion of the True Vehicle Cost on every order — and it is what keeps your fuel estimate accurate.
